    Mr. Johnny Wayne Whitney, age 50, of Waldron, AR, passed away January 23, 2015 in Waldron, AR. He was born February 24, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Don and Brenda Rains Whitney. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Willie Whitney.
    Survived by:
    Children: Jesse Wayne Whitney of Hot Springs, AR. Valerie Joy Whitney of Waldron, AR. Brittany Dawn Rains of Hot Springs, AR. and Jerrid Lynn Rains of Tennessee.

    Siblings: Don Whitney, Tammy Whitney, Russell Hurley and Bobby Whitney.
    Grandchildren: Kelsey, Kaylee, Alan, Allison, Sullivan, Jule, Bralen, and Alexia.

    A visitation will be held January 26, 2015, 4-6 p.m. at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida.
    Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR.

    Johnny was a good loving dad to his kids and there was rough days and no work sometimes. Fun was what he wanted to have. To me i am glad to have helped with the fire wood, and the summers were full of activities. He laughed alot. Times were tough sometimes, when no work was available. I had not been around for many of his last years, but seen him on occation and had a good time. He was sad at his Dad's passing and then his brother's. Life is hard and harder as it goes. We must look to a better future and as were here make people smile and have fun! May we all be resurrected again to meet our destiny!
